Permitting Process Overview
1. Complete the application and submit it to the White County Board.
2. Once accepted as "Properly Filed" by the White County Solar Farm Committee, it will be reviewed to determine the impact of the use on:
- Public Utilities
- Traffic volume and circulation
- Impact on nearby properties
- Compliance with ordinances and laws
- Other lawful factors as may be determined reasonable by the Committee
3. The date the application is accepted as Properly Filed constitutes the legal beginning date of any such construction for the purposes of defining whether a project has been initiated or was in progress in White County.
4. A public hearing is held. Applicant party may appear and testify in person or by duly authorized agent or attorney.
$5,000 application fee due at time of submission. Non-refundable.
