Skippack Township exists within the larger Philadelphia media market, making bulk advertising more expensive and less attractive. The regional television and radio stations are unlikely to cover the Cranberry Hollow project (good or bad) unless there is a compelling and newsy aspect to a ribboncutting, etc. Using social media and local newspapers will allow a more targeted and cost effective strategy for reaching a relatively small audience in the metro area. The region (central Montgomery County) is served by several traditional print media outlets. Cranberry Hollow should also consider ways to get its message out through local Facebook groups as well.

Television:
Because Philadelphia is such a large media market, it’s unlikely to place a featured story on television–and television would also cast a wider net than necessary for the project-relevant stakeholders. However, these stations could feature a community interest story if there is an interesting angle the project can offer.
