Background
Currently, there seem to be no major pre-existing clean energy opposition groups. Opposition groups can typically be organic collections of locals who are opposed to a project for various reasons, or can be outside groups or agitators with the goal of delaying or killing renewable energy projects. The organic “residents with concerns” that organize around their issues should be communicated with care and on terms that align with their values.
In contrast, there are a substantial number of renewables support groups in Missouri. Most of these are active on Facebook, which could be a great platform for garnering more support and activating pre-existing groups to advocate for Scopus Solar.
